This week we decided to take a trip up Britain’s highest mountain. We took the “Pony Track” route up the mountain, which although a bit of trudge, offers some fantastic views of Glen Nevis as you start to ascend past the Half Way Lochan.

The thought of hauling camera gear up the 4,409 ft (1,344 m) of Ben Nevis was a bit of a thought, but well worth the effort – particularly at the top, where the views of Tower Ridge, the Carn Dearg buttress and the Carn Mor Dearg Arete from the north face of the summit are nothing less than breathtaking.
