Gordonmac dot com was hand coded in a mixture of Coda and CSSEdit.
All of the site's graphics were created in Adobe® Fireworks® CS3. This is my weapon of choice when it comes to all image editing for the web. I think it's the best thing since…Fireworks 8 :).
Code
Gordonmac dot com is written in XHTML Strict and uses CSS make it look good (lol). It uses some DOM scripting for bells and whistles; in the form of ajax and a tiny script which makes a few boxes rounder than a box.
Dynamic portions of the site take advantage of MySQL and PHP.
Microformats
Gordonmac dot com utilizes Microformats consistently through the entire site. Microformats are simply pre-defined semantic xHTML structures for specific types of information.
They are an amazing concept because eventually (we hope) the majority of browsers will have built-in support for them allowing for specific data on pages to be extracted and exported to the desktop applications we all use on a daily basis.
CMS Software
Gordonmac dot com doesn't use Textpattern, Wordpress or any other blogging application. It's hand rolled CMS and a personal (long-term) project.
Typography
Gordonmac dot com's body text is rendered in Georgia.
Another typeface I use almost every day is Pragmata by FABRIZIO SCHIAVI DESIGN. This isn't actually type which appears on the site but it's the typeface which I use in all my code editing apps, simply because it's the crispiest, coolest bitmap font I've ever seen.

Gordonmac dot com lives at Dreamhost, maybe your site could live there too.
Other things
Gordonmac dot com was developed on Apple computers with iTunes playing most of the time.
