Photographing the Aurora Borealis

Posted: October 9th, 2012 | Tags: | Posted in: Photography

This is my first attempt at photographing the Aurora Borealis, and I’m quite happy with the result – for a first try. The only disappointment I have with this image is that the foreground is slightly out of focus because I had the lens on manual focus, and set to infinity.

I think in future I may use a torch to bring the foreground into focus, and then tighten the aperture a bit.
